Busy busy busy busy.

Classes have started for the two week session of UCEAP arranged lectures. This usually means a lecture from 9-11:30, a break until 1:30 and then another lecture. Today we learned about Chinese art, and instead of a second lecture made a field trip to the art district. Honestly I wasn't all that impressed, except for one exhibit I really liked of the works of Wang Xingwei. Maybe I'm just not that into all this "contemporary" stuff. Unfortunately I didn't get to explore his exhibit nearly as much as I wanted to, because it was the last one I visited, and time wasn't on my side. *sigh* Oh well, maybe I can go back some other time.

So we went out to eat yesterday night in a place with a large Korean influence. We saw a good amount of Chinglish while we were there.

Fresh drinks come ture.

We did a little shopping and hung around, and then discovered that our last bus was supposed to run until 10, and we had passed that mark already. D: Luckily we managed to hop on the last one.

One of the shops at the mall we went to.
I've been getting used to wandering the university and finding places. I'm starting to kinda know my way around. At least between a few important places. And I think I'm getting the hang of buying cafeteria food. There's a lot of pointing involved.

The entire side of the road is lined with bikes.

Cute cartoon warning you not to take too much food in the cafeteria.

So tomorrow we have an over-night trip! Whooo!! That'll be fun. We get to stay in hotels, see museums and ride the high-speed train. We're actually going to be gone for two nights, staying in two different locations. I don't know how well internet is going to work there, so I might be cut off for a bit. We'll see.

I have a bunch of pictures of the art district to put up, but Blogger is being pretty ridiculous right now, so I think I'll have to update this post with them later. Keep an eye out if you want to see some interesting graffiti. I think that's all I got for now, so I'll talk to y'all again when Blogger has decided to become semi-functional. 再见!
